Conditions Treated By Dr. Srikanth Boddu!

  • Pulsatile Tinnitus: A ringing, whooshing, or pulsing sound in the ears that matches your heartbeat.
  • Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH): Also called pseudotumor cerebri, this is a buildup of pressure inside the skull without an obvious cause, often leading to headaches and vision problems.
  • Spinal Compression Fractures: Small cracks in the bones of the spine that can cause severe back pain and make movement difficult.
  • Brain Aneurysms: Weak spots in blood vessels that bulge out and can rupture, causing life-threatening bleeding in the brain.
  • Brain and Spine Dural Arteriovenous Fistulae (AVF): Abnormal connections between arteries and veins in the protective covering of the brain or spine, which can disrupt normal blood flow and cause serious complications.
  • Brain Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs): Tangled clusters of blood vessels in the brain that can cause headaches, seizures, or bleeding.
  • Carotid, Vertebral, and Subclavian Stenosis: Narrowing or blockage of major arteries in the neck and upper chest, which can reduce blood flow to the brain and increase the risk of stroke.
  • Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak (CSF-Venous Fistula): A leak of the protective fluid around the brain and spine into nearby veins, which can cause headaches, nausea, and other symptoms.
  • Chronic Low Back Pain (Basivertebral Nerve Ablation with Intracept): Long-term lower back pain may be treated by “turning off” the nerve responsible for sending pain signals through a minimally invasive procedure called the Intracept method.

Dr. Boddu is renowned for his expertise in treating aneurysms and other complex cerebrovascular (blood vessel-related) conditions. He has been a pioneer in using stents (tiny mesh tubes) to treat pulsatile tinnitus and IIH, offering new hope to patients who need effective treatment without open brain surgery.

CREDENTIALS

Dr. Boddu earned his first medical degree from JSS Medical College in Mysore, India, followed by advanced training in the UK and USA. He completed a surgical residency, radiology residency, and interventional neuroradiology fellowship at Queen’s Medical Center in Nottingham, United Kingdom, and was board certified by both the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (MRCS) and the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) London. Dr. Boddu was awarded certificate of completion of training (CCT) by General Medical Council (GMC) for completion of highest training in his specialty. (See Dr. Boddu's board certifications.)

Dr. Boddu then moved to the United States and completed a diagnostic neuroradiology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, followed by three years of interventional neuroradiology fellowship training at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine.
